The layers indicating the depth are cut with a laser with the actual depths of water areas, based on bathymetric map data. Each layer of the map indicating a certain depth is engraved and painted with special paints in its own unqiue color, which gives the map an exceptionally powerful visual effect.
 
All layers are manually pasted on the map and stuck together with a strong glue.
